Living Karbala Everyday


Learning Objective: 
To provide a visual worksheet reminder of how we can be like Imam Husayn (as) everyday.

The children complete the figure by 'dressing' with the principles Imam Husayn (as) lived and taught us through Karbala.

Patience



Lesson Objectives:
- Understand that one way of demonstrating patience is to stay calm and not become angry.
- Know how to calm down
- Understand the importance of being patient
- Know that patience is always rewarded! 


Quran Verse:
‘usbiroo’, Be patient 3:200


Key Learning Point:
Allah tells us in the Quran that He loves those who are patient. One way we can try to be patient is by staying calm and not becoming angry. Being patient helps us to become close to Allah and He will reward us for our patience!

Dua: Talking to Allah



Lesson Objectives:
to understand that you can pray/talk to Allah about anything, anytime, anywhere!
- to help establish a habit of talking to Allah
- to know that Imam Zainul Abideen has taught us about dua through Sahifa Sajjadiya
- to become familiar with the etiquette of sandwiching our duas with salawaat

Quran Verse:
Odoonee - Call Me 40:60

Key Learning Point:
Allah wants us to call Him and talk to Him about everything. Talking to Allah reminds us of our Creator. It helps us to feel close to Him. We must try and remember to pray everyday. We can thank Allah for our blessings, pray for help, tell him about our family and even how much we love Him!

Prayer Sandwich




Quran Verse:'Odoonee..' Call Me 40:60

Lesson Objective:
- To help instil a daily habit of talking to Allah

- To become familiar with the etiquette of beginning and ending our duas with Salawaat.

Visual aid to help remember how to pray but also to understand the need for dua. 
Just as we need food to survive, we need to talk to Allah to stay connected to Him.

- To help instil a daily habit of talking to Allah
- To give the children a focused category to talk/pray to Allah about

Activity:
Divide a paper plate into sections and label with various categories of items to talk to Allah and pray for. Insert a paper fastener arrow into the centre.
