About

Fifteen years ago, a seed was planted. An intention to introduce the Quran to my little one as a living book, one that spoke to everyday life, and that changed everything. With a vision of making it fun and engaging, the aim was to find creative ways to help understand the Qur'an and build an Islamic foundation right from the start.

We began by introducing the Arabic alphabet in a way which incorporated simple Quranic vocabulary. It opened up a whole world of learning about the creation of Allah, truly bringing the Holy Book to life! You can find the complete series archived under the tag 'Quranic Alphabet'.

Key Islamic beliefs and concepts were then introduced with lessons centered around short Quranic phrases, especially those highlighting the qualities that 'Allah Loves.' Learning was through practical activities and memorable experiments using materials found easily around the home.

In 2017, Islamic Values was published, bringing together over 100 creative crafts and hands on activities to help little ones learn, love and live the teachings of Islam.

During lockdown, we launched the Islam From The Start YouTube channel where you can find can Surah storytelling sessions, Quranic highlights and Quranic Snapshots.

A few years later we created the Islamic Values Quran Journal introducing children 9-12 years to the process of independently reflecting and building a personal relationship with the Quran.

With the popularity of TikTok came One Quranic Minute, 60 second reminders, one verse at at a time.

Completing the journey as the little one turned 18, we launched Courses by Islam from the Start, on demand Quran Reflection Courses to help adults connect with the Quran.

Different audiences, different formats but the purpose remains the same; to nurture a meaningful relationship with Allah and the Quran.
