Quranic Alphabet Series: Jeem


ج Is for Jibraeel
It was Angel Jibrael who brought down the Qur'an to Prophet Muhammad (saw) on the night of Qadr.
Craft: Tissue Roll Angel and Laylatul Qadr Scene
Draw around child's hand for wings and attach to a tissue roll to make it stand. Form a halo using a pipe cleaner and stick onto the tissue roll to float over head.

ج Is for Jumu’a, Friday
The day of Friday is very special and one where everyone prays together. In Surah Al Jumu’a Allah tells us the importance of remembering Him. There are lots of important things we must try to do on Jumu’a, like taking a special bath, cutting our nails and doing good deeds which are are doubly rewarded!
Activity: Make Fridays a day of celebration and something to look forward to.Dress up and enjoy small treats!
Craft: Create Paper Doll chains and decorate each one in their best clothes. Line them all up to pray
salaa together.

ج Is for Jabal, Mountains
Mountains can be huge! The top of a mountain is called a peak and the bottom is the base. Allah tells us in the Quran that He created mountains like pegs, they hold the earth down! Prophet Muhammad (S) used to climb Jabal An Noor in Makkah everyday to reach the cave of Hira where he received
the Quran.
Activity: Find out which is the world’s highest mountain? What is the name of the tallest mountain in the country you live? Which country has the most mountains?
