ACTIVITY: Hajj Role Play
Set up an area marking out the key landscapes of the Hajj
Make a tent using a white sheet draped over some chairs
Pile up some cushions at the two ends of the room
Place the Ka'ba made by the child in the centre of the room or a large box
covered with a black abaya.
Dress up in white sheets/towels
Label water bottles 'Zam Zam'
Allow kids to experience and become familiar with the basic hajj rituals:
Run from Safa to Marwa, do the rounds of tawaf chanting 'Labbaik Allahuma
Labbaik', stop to drink some Zam Zam and rest in the tents of Mina.
